Part-Time Teahouse Team Leader & Customer Service

  • Weekly time commitment varies (approximately 10-16 hours per week)
  • Must be available evenings & weekends 

Basic Description: 

  • All tea/food service & retail shop duties
  • Directly supervise & coordinate activities of teahouse servers
  • Manage employee schedules, payroll, hiring, training, & tasks 
  • Coordinate & develop teamwork among staff 
  • Respond to customer needs & address problems in person & via email/online
  • Perform daily administrative activities including filing & processing paperwork 
  • Work closely with owners

Very Helpful: 

  • Current patron of the Hidden Peak Teahouse (aka, someone who “gets” us)
  • Previous team leader/management experience 
  • Experience resolving staff & customer conflicts & negotiating with others
  • Experience teaching & training others 
  • Skilled at guiding, motivating, directing, & mentoring employees
  • Strong problem solving skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with Excel, Gmail, & Google Calendar 
  • Ability to create, manage, and refine systems of operation for employees


  • Strong interest in tea

  • Independently prioritize, organize, & accomplish your work
  • Calm & professional under pressure
  • Cash handling & sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills (professional & clear, especially when addressing problems with staff & customers)
  • Professionally represent the teahouse in all communication with others
  • Meet deadlines & accurately complete reoccurring responsibilities independently (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly)
